Irish product recall issued following discovery of illegal levels of THC in CBD oil line

Dutch CBD oil brand Euphoria has had its CBD oil recalled in Ireland after the company’s Full Spectrum Oil extra strong 20 percent tested positive for illegal levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Irish law prohibits the sale of any product containing greater than 0.2 percent THC. The alert from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) relates to the 10 mL preparation with a “best before” date of Aug. 31, 2020.

FSAI notified the public of the illegal THC content, though it did not specify the percentage of THC in the oil.

The authority reports that it conducts routine checks to ensure the validity of products for public safety and compliance. As a result of the testing, illegal THC levels were identified and an alert for recall issued.
