The Shore could soon be getting two new medical marijuana dispensaries, as the Department of Health has given preliminary approval for a shop in Eatontown. Another marijuana shop is planned for Monmouth County, but the specific location has not yet been revealed.
Jeff Brown, the assistant commissioner of the state Department of Health, who oversees the state’s medical marijuana program, said Thursday that Garden State Dispensary has gotten early approval for a satellite location in Eatontown. That store still needs at least another round of approvals before it could open.
