CoventryLive readers have reacted with joy after a woman who said her cancer was cured by cannabis oil revealed she has been given the all clear by doctors.

Joy Smith was told she would only have six weeks to live when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in August 2016.

But after a rollercoaster two years, she was told on Monday morning that she was cancer free and would no longer have to have chemotherapy.

The 52-year-old, from Cheylesmore, was told by doctors that she would only have six weeks to live – unless she started chemotherapy to buy her more time.

But after taking regular doses of THC cannabis oil, which is currently illegal in the UK, she claims her inoperable tumours almost completely disappeared.
