Israel’s Hebrew University To Host Global Cannabis Conference

Israel’s Hebrew University recently announced that the oldest cannabis study society, The International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), will hold its prestigious global conference there in 2021.

ICRS have been holding cornerstone, global conferences for decades, exploring medical cannabis and its effects on things like autoimmune disorders, epilepsy, pain, PTSD, metabolism, obesity, cancer and other illnesses.

Come 2021, and hundreds of doctors, researchers, growers and patients alike will convene at the Hebrew University campus in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, hosted also by Hebrew University’s Multidisciplinary Center on Cannabinoid Research.

ICRS Executive Director Prof. Cecilia Hillard told the Jerusalem Post publication in Israel, “Prof. Raphael Mechoulam was the first to publish the structure of the active principal of cannabis, THC, and was also the first to identify an endogenous cannabinoid, anandamide.”
