Billy Caldwell, the first UK person to be prescribed medicinal cannabis on the NHS, is the poster boy for a new brand of oil which is expected to help millions.
Called Billy’s Bud, it is the brainchild of a US-based Fermanagh man whose company, 710 Holdings, is manufacturing the specialist cannabis oil in America.
Billy, 11, came to the attention of the company when he was treated in Los Angeles for life-threatening epilepsy.
The youngster was dosed with cannabis oil made by 710 Holdings from plants grown in Nevada and processed in Las Vegas.
