Canadians Mistake Hops For Marijuana, Mess Up Beer Supply

If you can, you’re a few steps ahead of a group of alleged would-be thieves in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. According to a report from the Queens District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP):

On Saturday November 26, 2016 at 3:45 pm, Stratford RCMP responded as a result of a complaint from the farmer about a break and enter into his Hops Farm (Beer Production). The farmer had observed three unknown adults near his farm buildings. Two adult male and one adult female from Charlottetown were taken quickly into custody. The three adults told RCMP Members that they thought there was marihuana growing on the farm.

And yes, the RCMP still spells it “marihuana”.
