Scientific research has revealed that the average joint actually doesn’t contain that much marijuana, on average just 0.3 grams, which raises interesting questions about the drug’s impact on health.
Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania have decided it’s really important that we work out how much cannabis we’re smoking in the average joint (not that we condone that at all, obviously), and the result is quite surprising.
Disappointingly, the research didn’t originate at a college party but is instead an attempt by criminologist Greg Ridgeway to provide better statistics for future studies into the effects of marijuana consumption.
